Solar energy is increasingly becoming more commonplace, particularly in the rural areas.
Don Bosco Oysterbay launched a photovoltaic technology program funded by Misereor to train disadvantaged youth as solar installation technicians. Since 2018, the program has trained 226 students, with 45 securing employment in the solar sector.
