Skills Development, Social Dialogue and Decent Jobs for Young Tanzanians Project
A TVET project equipping Tanzanian graduates from technical colleges and vocational training institutions with practical skills for private-sector employment, in a country where less than 2% of female and 4% of male workers have received vocational training.
Targets youth aged 18-35. Implemented by the Association of Tanzanian Employers (ATE), the National Trade Union Confederation (TUCTA), and selected TVET institutions, in collaboration with Danish organizations. Long-term goal: alignment of vocational training with industry demands to enhance the employability of young graduates.

Skilled young people competent in mechanical and electrical skills demanded by private companies, particularly in agro-industry.

Results
292 youth trained. 6 teachers received industrial training. Teachers involved in curriculum development. 4 signed Memoranda of Understanding with tea, horticulture, and hotels industries and the Confederation of Tanzania Industries. Don Bosco selected for a 2nd implementing project period.
