Skilling Tanzania (Via Don Bosco) Project

Empowering young Tanzanian youth, both boys and girls, aged 15 to 25, enabling them to find their place in the workforce through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Local partners: all DB VTCs, DB TTC, JSO, PDO, DB Matumaini VTC. Project Manager: Cassian Bilikwija. Key team members: Alfred Dalasia, Juliana Mamboya, Joseph Ngomite, Diana Mwita, Gideon Rwegerera.

As of July 2024, the project was in its 3rd year of execution, 3rd quarter of the 2024 Institutional Operational Plan, with most institutions lagging behind key milestone achievement.

Objectives

Result 1: Enhancing educational quality via personnel capacity building, curriculum updates, and equipment/infrastructure adaptation.
Result 2: Strengthening institutional management (finances, HR, knowledge management) and sustainability across VTCs/TTC, JSO, and PDO.
Result 3: Facilitating student labor market integration through JSO company partnerships, internships, and life skills preparation.
Result 4: Promoting social inclusion through support services, advocacy, environmental adaptation, and awareness activities.
